Liverpool College is the city’s leading school, delivering a strong holistic education for boys and girls, from age four to nineteen. Having increased their infant intake they needed to expand the junior provision with a modular school building.
Capital Space, the owners of Milton Keynes Business Park undertook research amongst their customers to find that they wanted somewhere to get out of the office and chill out. They have 100 businesses working in offices, studios and workshops on the site so they wanted to provide a space for people to get out for some private contemplation, to sit with their laptops or just have a conversation in a different setting. TG Escapes have created a bright space that is cosy indoors with access to an outside decked area. Woodside Cafe will be run by Sue Stanbridge and her team who have designed the interior with biophilic elements which help to bring the outdoors in to create a relaxing and peaceful space.

King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy, a part of the King Edward VI Foundation, needed an additional stand-alone space to house their 6th form year group away from the main school building. They wanted something special to help encourage the students to stay on to year 12. This building was completed on time and in budget in April 2021.
Originally, Samuel Ryder was a very small secondary school with about 250 students. A few years ago the Local Authority decided to extend the school’s provision to cover primary and secondary pupils. Since then the school, with an outstanding leadership Ofsted rating, has grown in popularity and demand for places has outstripped capacity. The Local Authority recently provided funding to further extend the school’s provision.
