The Benefits of Choosing a Modular Clubhouse Building
A clubhouse needs to serve many functions, from creating social spaces and meeting areas to offering changing rooms and toilet facilities for players.
Modular buildings are an ideal solution for creating flexible, purpose-built facilities for sports teams, schools, and local communities. With fast build times, cost-effective all-in-one prices, and high levels of design customisation, permanent modular buildings are ideal for community spaces.
TG Escapes offers a turnkey design and build service, with a free design process helping to create buildings completely tailored around your needs.
Why choose a modular sports clubhouse?
Modular buildings are constructed in sections off-site within a controlled factory environment, then transported and assembled on location. This approach offers a modern alternative to traditional building methods, delivering high-quality, purpose-built spaces quicker and with less disruption to a site.
For sports clubs, schools or community groups looking to build a clubhouse, modular construction is a fantastic choice, offering:
- Faster construction: Because modular clubhouses are manufactured off-site while groundwork is completed on-site, the overall build time is significantly reduced. This means your clubhouse can be up and running much sooner compared to traditional brick-and-mortar buildings.
- Cost efficiency: Modular construction often involves fewer on-site labour hours, less material waste and shorter project durations. All of this helps keep costs more predictable and manageable, making it easier to deliver a high-quality facility within your budget.
- Customisation and adaptability: Our modular clubhouses can be fully tailored to meet your needs, from the internal layout and room sizes to finishes, fittings and accessibility features. They can also be designed around adaptability, and are easier to expand over time than brick-and-mortar alternatives.
- Sustainability: Modular construction typically produces less waste than a traditional building site. When paired with sustainable building practices, such as our timber frame construction and net-zero design, it offers a lower-impact alternative to conventional building methods.
- High quality: Because modular clubhouses are built in factory-controlled settings, they are subject to strict quality controls at every stage. Our modular buildings are permanent solutions, designed for at least 50 years of regular use.
When you work with TG Escapes, you’ll benefit from a fully managed design-and-build service. We handle everything from securing planning permission to completing finishing work.

Some of our modular clubhouses
We’ve created modular buildings for a huge range of clients across the education, commercial, and leisure sectors. Here are a few recent projects that highlight how flexible and functional a TG Escapes clubhouse can be.
- Winnersh Triangle: Built to support health and wellbeing at a busy business park, this building includes changing rooms, a kitchen, a treatment room and a studio space for yoga or pilates. Surrounded by green space and allotments, our timber building, complete with a living roof, fitted right in.
- Ruskin Leisure: This spacious clubhouse includes six team changing rooms, showers, toilets and spaces for officials and scorers. Built from sustainably sourced timber frames and panels, it’s an asset for the St Helens community for decades to come.
- Shinfield Parish: We created this multi-use clubhouse to provide changing rooms, showers, a kitchen and a clubroom for local sports teams, while also serving as a daytime care centre for people living with dementia. With plenty of natural light and a calm, accessible layout, we were pleased to receive 5* feedback from the client.
How we price our modular clubhouses
Every TG Escapes building is completely bespoke, designed to meet the specific needs of each client and site. We begin each project with a complimentary design consultation, where our in-house architects work up a tailored plan. Following this, our team provides a comprehensive price covering all aspects of the build, including design, planning permission, construction, installation and finishing. This is a fixed price and won’t change during manufacture.
