Yes. Our panelised timber system handles single rooms right up to large multi-classroom blocks, and we are comfortable running more than one building on a site or several projects across a trust. We have delivered classroom blocks for hundreds of pupils at once, including a block built for 600 students at a London secondary school. Each project is fully bespoke, so the layout, circulation and number of teaching spaces are designed around your roll, your site and your curriculum rather than a fixed catalogue.

Yes. Two-storey blocks are a common choice for secondary estates where ground space is tight or where you want to keep classrooms close together. Our timber frame panel system is engineered for multi-storey use, and our in-house structural engineers design the frame, floors and staircases to suit your site and pupil numbers. A two-storey block lets you add significant teaching capacity on a smaller footprint, which often makes planning and outdoor space easier to manage.

Yes. Alongside standard teaching spaces we regularly build practical and specialist rooms, from food technology and art to music and drama. We design the building shell, services routes and fit-out around your mechanical and electrical requirements and your equipment schedule, working with your team or chosen specialists on the detailed servicing. Yes. Growing sixth forms often need a different kind of space: larger, more flexible study areas, social space and seminar rooms rather than rows of standard classrooms. We design these as permanent buildings that can flex as numbers change, and the same approach extends to college and further education provision. Most of your building is made at our workshop while groundworks happen on site in parallel, so the time spent building near pupils is far shorter than a traditional brick-and-block project. Our teams are used to working in occupied schools year-round, not only in the holidays, and we phase deliveries and installation around your timetable, exam periods and access constraints. On one recent project we completed a 600 square metre dining hall while the school was fully occupied by staff and students.

Secondary schools fund our buildings in several ways. The Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) supports eligible schools and colleges, with grants from £50,000 up to £4 million, and we strengthen bids with free architectural designs. Other routes include Section 106 developer contributions, School Condition Allocations and capital reserves. We also offer lease funding with no upfront capital, spread over a 10-year term under the IFRS 16 Maintained Schools Secretary of State Finance Lease Class Consent 2024, with around 40 years of useful building life remaining beyond the lease. We are available through several compliant procurement routes, including the UK Leisure Framework, Everything Estates and Constellia, which can save your trust time and cost on tendering. Our credentials include ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, Constructionline Platinum, STA Assure Gold and membership of the Passivhaus Trust. We are also a partner of the National Association of Special Schools. These give a MAT estates director and a finance committee the documented assurance they need before signing off.

They are permanent. Our modular classrooms and larger blocks are timber-frame buildings designed in accordance with Eurocode 0 to exceed a 50-year lifespan with minimal upkeep, not hire-and-return cabins or temporary units. They sit on your estate as a long-term asset and are built to the same standards as traditional construction, with a 10-year structural warranty and a 25-year roof membrane warranty. Many of our buildings are designed to be carbon neutral for regulated energy, lowering running costs over their life.
