Case Study
Eco-buildings at Kymbrook Primary & Thurleigh Primary School in Bedford
Q1 Why did you want to develop a separate learning space?
We are currently expanding the schools and improving the facilities. The project on one of the sites involved getting rid of an old mobile classroom, converting our old Victorian hall into a classroom and then adding a building as our new hall. In addition, both schools have transitioned from Lower to Primary Schools, so we needed extra classroom space for years 5 and 6.
Q2 What made The Learning Escape stand out from the other providers?
TG Escapes demonstrated a clear ability to build a hall up on a site with limited access. Having used TG Escapes on three previous occasions our positive experiences also played a part in choosing them again.
Q3 What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school/setting/college?
Our brand new buildings, which have all the mod cons, still manage to fit in well with our rural settings. The buildings have a very ‘tranquil’ feel to them.
Q4 How did you find working with TG Escapes overall?
The team were always open to suggestions, particularly during the design stage for our new halls on both school sites. Everyone was very professional, available when we needed them, answered emails in a timely manner and dealt with major and minor hiccups competently.
