The Capita Early Years Provision Conference
At a time when the baby boom is in full swing and the Government are increasingly looking to the Early Years sector to address the issue of inequality of opportunity to fully develop every childâs potential, it is an incredibly exciting and dynamic time in which to be a provider of care for pre-school children.
It has been announced this week, that it is anticipated that almost a million extra school places will need to be created over the coming decade, and most of those children will be headed in the direction of an Early Years establishmentâŠ..right about now! Capita Conferences are the UKâs leading event organisers specialising in public sector conferences, and on Monday 26th January will be hosting the Early Years Provision Conference, at the Victoria Plaza Hotel in London.
The event provides a valuable opportunity to investigate and focus upon the issues facing early yearâs services in 2015 and beyond. The agenda includes a number of current developments, such as the expansion of the 2 year old offer, the early yearâs pupil premium and the equalisation of opportunity. However, perhaps most importantly, it will give some insight into the potential ramifications of the additional responsibility being conferred upon local authorities for public health early yearâs services, as of October 2015.
One of the ways in which children of all ages, but especially the very young, can enjoy a boost to their health (both physically and mentally) is by playing outside more. Sunlight enhances vitamin D generation and regulates circadian rhythms, ensuring a good nightâs sleep. However, even when inside, exposure to natural light has a number of beneficial effects upon a buildingâs occupants: it lifts the mood, boosts concentration and calms behaviour. All of which assist with enhancing development of the cognitive and social skills necessary to equitably prepare preschool children for a successful transition to school.
The Learning Escape are delighted to be part of the Capita Conference and would love it if you popped along to say hello to Matt and have a chat about how we can help you provide an Early Years environment that is healthy, nurturing and safe. Our nursery buildings are designed to naturally facilitate free flow play between the inside and secure outside space, whilst also ensuring maximum penetration of natural light into the interior. So, if you are considering building a new nursery facility to provide care for some baby boomers, come along and see how we can help.
