Surrey County Council have an increasing need for SEND places and wanted to create additional provision for Visually Impaired students at Woking High School. TG Escapes provided them with a purpose-designed solution including 3 classrooms, breakout spaces, offices and toilets increasing capacity for 11-16 year olds from 12 to 20. The hub will also be used for additional teaching space for the main school. Completed onsite in 22 weeks the building is net-zero in operation.
This building at Barfield Prep School, which took four months to complete, provides a stunning new dining hall. The use of full-height windows running from floor to ceiling brings the outside in. This new room offers panoramic views across nature and ample natural light, making lunchtimes much more pleasurable for the pupils and staff.
Brune Park Community School is part of the Gosport and Fareham MAT. Replacing an old SCOLA building they selected TG Escapes to design a net-zero modular timber frame building providing flexible classroom space and conferencing facilities to act as a business hub. The building includes nine classrooms which can be opened up, breakout and office spaces, and large atrium.
Ashley is a large primary school for children aged between 4 and 11. Since September 2021, they have had three classes in each year group, with 630 pupils in the school. They benefit from a huge site which includes a large playing field and a forest school area, where children experience outdoor learning such as gardening, bee-keeping and scientific study.
The trust approached TG Escapes to design a modular school building for wrap-around care and to use as an art studio.
