Case Study
Music Studio at Wavendon Gate School in Buckinghamshire
Wavendon Gate School approached us to create a new music room for the school. As the building was to be situated in the central courtyard it was important that it blended with the main school buildings, which required us to deviate from our usual cedar cladding.
After close consultation with the school, their music room was built with a white rendered finish and the RAL colour for the aluminium trim was also tailored to keep the exterior in tune with the surrounding buildings. We think it looks amazing (great choice Wavendon Gate) and this is what they had to say about their beautiful new music room.
Why did you want to develop a separate learning space?
We needed to create a large hall for hot meal service, which entailed demolishing the music room which needed to be replaced and rebuilt elsewhere.
What made The Learning Escape stand out from the other providers?
After a thorough internet search, the designs and flexibility of TG Escapes’ buildings caught our eye. We were very pleased to find out how they were constructed and that minimal foundations were required.
What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school/setting/college?
A purpose-built room for music away from the main classrooms enables normal lessons to continue in peace. All the equipment is in the same place which provides a quick setup to music lessons.
How did you find working with TG Escapes overall?
The whole team has been amazing from sales to completion. The groundsmen and the site foreman were extremely flexible in answering our questions while they were working.
