This building at Barfield Prep School, which took four months to complete, provides a stunning new dining hall. The use of full-height windows running from floor to ceiling brings the outside in. This new room offers panoramic views across nature and ample natural light, making lunchtimes much more pleasurable for the pupils and staff.
Brune Park Community School is part of the Gosport and Fareham MAT. Replacing an old SCOLA building they selected TG Escapes to design a net-zero modular timber frame building providing flexible classroom space and conferencing facilities to act as a business hub. The building includes nine classrooms which can be opened up, breakout and office spaces, and large atrium.
Sir Charles Parsons is a school for young people aged eleven to nineteen who have a range of additional needs. This is the 2nd building TG Escapes has provided. The pressure on pupil numbers of all ages across Newcastle City was high so more space was needed in the main building. The solution was to create extra accommodation near to the first building to form a separate post-16 facility covering the complete curriculum. This second net-zero modular building provides four classrooms as well as ancillary spaces and achieves an A+ EPC at -31. Staff and students have kindly made a video about what their building means to them.
Ratcliffe College have a growing roll putting pressure on their existing space. They decided to commission a new build to sit towards the front of the school and act as a showpiece at the entrance. The new block would accommodate the whole English department, one of the largest in the school, providing more suitable accommodation than before.
The Hundred of Hoo Academy is a 4β18 mixed, all-through school and sixth form in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent, England and is part of the Leigh Academies Trust. They wanted a dedicated teaching block to accommodate their SEN students.
